What is the relationship between IoT and cloud computing?
Now, how is this sea of devices connected to the web all the time? Most importantly, how do they work together? That's where cloud computing comes in! In practice, we can say that IoT is for cloud computing in the same way that fuel is for the car. In this simplifying metaphor, the energy produced by the fuel (IoT) moves the car (cloud computing). The opposite is also true: cloud computing supports and makes IoT really effective - it provides the ability to use computing and storage resources on demand, flexibly and with the necessary mobility. Consider that you have a set of 1,000 sensors in your factory. They are able to measure various types of data, from the emission of pollutants to the detection of intrusion (sensors are the “things” of the IoT). Imagine the amount of data generated by the sensors and the computational power needed to store, process and analyze this information. With a cloud computing structure, data collected through IoT devices are stored and processed i...
